Coach Erik here:

Have you ever found yourself sabotaging your success?

The reason is we all have a subconscious need to stay consistent with who we believe we really are. Self-sabotage is a result of a personal identity that is incongruent with the success we are experiencing in our life.

The way to sabotage self-sabotage is to be it and act it until you become it. I invite you to commit to keeping your thoughts and actions aligned with the person you intend to be. Over time a shift happens and your actions are no longer something you have do, but an extension of who you really are.

Take away: Self-sabotage is a subconscious response to our need to stay consistent with who we believe we are. The breakthrough happens when we align our new identity with our success. We can do this over time by being it and acting it until we become it.
