Is it all about the abs? I used to think it was.
For most of my adolescent and adult life I poured mega amounts of energy into achieving my physical potential. While I looked and felt fit, something was always missing. I constantly strived for the next “hit” of feeling fit and well. I never achieved the sustained level of happiness I believed my physical triumphs would yield.
Have you ever felt this way?
Fifteen years ago I had an awakening. I began to realize that it’s really not just about our bodies. It’s about transforming how we think, feel and act. It’s about transforming our lives from the inside-out. When we look within for acceptance and love without judgemet, we connect to our power to breakthrough limiting beliefs, habits and fears that have prevented us from thriving and feeling fantastic.
The irony is we spend much of our energy trying to change our bodies so we can feel happy. The truth is we must feel authentic love and happiness on the inside in order to create meaningful and sustainable transformation on the outside.
Take away: Lasting physical transformation is an “inside job.” I invite you to let go of outcome and find joy in the journey. Look within for love and acceptance and you will discover the energy and authentic happiness I believe we all really crave.
